Application- / PreSales Consultant
To provide application knowledge to internal and external customers. To discuss and document the functional aspects of the application and system configuration. This may include possible enhancements and modifications to new and existing systems.

To undertake any functional analysis tasks relating to any type and size of business system, working unsupervised, and write the relevant functional specifications and quotations to agreed standards and in time and budget.

To prepare and agree with line management time and cost estimates, following discussions with other relevant department members.

To maintain and develop overall functional knowledge of the Application within the area of expertise and to be able to specify changes for this application.

To be a recognised business specialist in more than one of the mainstream areas of the company’s business and to provide an in-depth consultancy role within that area

To provide a fully documented handover of any functional specifications and/or relevant documentation for software modifications to the Development team

To functionally accept software from Development and ensure it has been written in accordance with the specification produced. In addition, to undertake functional testing against specification.

To pro-actively develop customer relationship and site knowledge in order to recognise and maximise possible revenue streams.

To ensure that all work is completed within the PME Governance process and assist the Project Manager in maintaining these standards.
- To provide Application help and support to both the Customer and Internal Support Teams where requested and appropriate.

- Kenntnisse:
- Expert knowledge of the Application(s) within area of work
- Working knowledge of at least one additional Torex Application (or willingness to learn)
- Good working knowledge of other IT applications, i.e. MS Project or MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) essential.
- Basic working knowledge of SQL and Jet database engines essential
- Basic working knowledge of Oracle
- Erfahrungen:
A minimum of 5 years in a comparable role is required
